The humble microcassette is becoming increasingly scarce these days, so this is a rare chance to own a clear screwed shell (which is even harder to find) microcassette loop! The shells and magnetic tape are recycled and contain various drones/noises which I used to test each one whilst assembling/making the loop – owners are more than welcome to use the existing recordings and of course record their own material onto them. Each one is meticulously assembled so it will run as smoothly as possible (using proper splicing tape to join the magnetic tape). Every loop has been tested and runs well on several different players I own; however, I cannot guarantee they will run on all. Each one is packaged in a used case, and I have thrown in a cover pilfered from a fantasy art book! Running time at 2.4cm/s is 5 seconds and at 1.2cm/s is 10 seconds. Perfect for your lo-fi/experimental/ambient/noise project.
